T-One Week.

Wow! Much has happened since we've last updated! We're less than one week from leaving for new staff training! We've been continually praising God for the abundance of encouragement and blessings since we began this process!

We have been praying about one aspect of our upcoming trip: how to pay for our utility & living expenses here in Dayton since we both will be on unpaid leave from our current jobs. The support that the Lord graciously brought in is set aside to directly pay for our Crusade training cost. Our own Dayton living expenses while we are away come out of our own pocket. We are praying that the Lord would provide the finances for those expenses.

Would you would prayerfully consider maybe contributing something towards one of our specific needs below? Or, maybe even “adopting” one of our bills for the month that we'll be gone? Let us know if you could help us out in this way. Also, please be praying with us that God provides exactly what we need.

Electricity - $30
Water & Sewer - $30
Gas - $60
Phone - $75
Internet - $50
Rent - $560

Power.

"God is attracted to weakness. He can't resist those who humbly and honestly admit how desperately they need him."
-Jim Cymbala from Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire

I was reading today in Luke 8:40-56, the story of Jesus healing the woman with the issue of blood while on His way to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead. I was thinking of how both the woman and Jairus were humble, were so honest in admitting their need, and were desperately needing Christ. Am I that humble? Honest? Desperate? Many times I think that I know I have needs, but I am not sure that I can say I am honest to others about them or am desperately pursuing God regarding them.

Jesus had enough power to heal that woman of a 12-year hemorrhage, and still had plenty enough power to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead. Of course I knew that....but really. That means that God has enough power to provide for people I know who have lost jobs, who are hurting and broken, and who just so very much need Him. Plus, on top of those other people....He still cares about me. He still has enough power to help me through my needs [big & little]. His is completely able. Even if God is doing amazingly awesome things in other's lives, He still has enough power for me too.

Tony & I have had so much positive response about going on staff with Keynote - Thank you! However, we have a ways to go in raising support for New Staff Training. I have been a little discourage the past few days each time the mail comes with "no support". Through my little journey in Luke today, God's reminded me that the money isn't the end goal. He is the end goal, and He is has enough power. Everything is under HIS control. :)

God's Plan

Please pray for us as we are discovering more of the Lord's plan each day. We are seeing that we are to rely more and more on him and less of our own power. The lord is answering prayers and is truly faithful with his promise of providing. At times, we are frustrated with confusion and discouragement, but we believe that we are not to worry on those things. We pray the Lord will soften hearts and keep us patient as we discover more of his will each day.

Faith.

Through these beginning stages, we've found a verse that we've been clinging to.

Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Thanks Jesus! :)

Let It Begin.

Letters are in the mail, and we are praying they are received with open minds and hearts. Please pray for us as we are guided by Jesus the ultimate maestro. We will be back in Bowling Green for the Thanksgiving holiday. During that time, we will be presenting ministry partnership for new staff training with our old home church. We pray the Lord will allow those who are brought to that church that weekend are open and receptive to the truth of Jesus and the steps of faith we are taking together.

A Cadence for Dayton.

About a week ago, we were given full-acceptance to be full-time staff with Keynote, Campus Crusade for Christ's music ministry based over in Indianapolis.

Keynote’s mission is to reach the world with the love of God through music and creative arts with a passion for life change. Keynote joins with ministries all over the world to help them reach their target audience by spreading the Gospel through the platform of music. We are so excited to see what happens through our experience at Keynote!

Wow. :)

We have so very much loved living in Dayton, but we are excited about making this big change. We have been praying throughout the last year for direction in where God wants us to best serve Him. We thank God for gifting us musically and giving us opportunities to use those talents. God has been drawing us to the Keynote ministry since working with them to bring bands to Bowling Green State University during our “Cru experience”.

Our first step is to go to New Staff Training through January and part of February. After New Staff Training, we will start ministry partner development and will move out to Indy when God finishes that.

We set up this blog in hopes to be a easy link between us and friends & family who are praying for us and want to journey with us. We love you all so much!

Clinging to Him,
Tony & Jonelle
