Power.

"God is attracted to weakness. He can't resist those who humbly and honestly admit how desperately they need him."
-Jim Cymbala from Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire

I was reading today in Luke 8:40-56, the story of Jesus healing the woman with the issue of blood while on His way to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead. I was thinking of how both the woman and Jairus were humble, were so honest in admitting their need, and were desperately needing Christ. Am I that humble? Honest? Desperate? Many times I think that I know I have needs, but I am not sure that I can say I am honest to others about them or am desperately pursuing God regarding them.

Jesus had enough power to heal that woman of a 12-year hemorrhage, and still had plenty enough power to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead. Of course I knew that....but really. That means that God has enough power to provide for people I know who have lost jobs, who are hurting and broken, and who just so very much need Him. Plus, on top of those other people....He still cares about me. He still has enough power to help me through my needs [big & little]. His is completely able. Even if God is doing amazingly awesome things in other's lives, He still has enough power for me too.

Tony & I have had so much positive response about going on staff with Keynote - Thank you! However, we have a ways to go in raising support for New Staff Training. I have been a little discourage the past few days each time the mail comes with "no support". Through my little journey in Luke today, God's reminded me that the money isn't the end goal. He is the end goal, and He is has enough power. Everything is under HIS control. :)

God's Plan

Please pray for us as we are discovering more of the Lord's plan each day. We are seeing that we are to rely more and more on him and less of our own power. The lord is answering prayers and is truly faithful with his promise of providing. At times, we are frustrated with confusion and discouragement, but we believe that we are not to worry on those things. We pray the Lord will soften hearts and keep us patient as we discover more of his will each day.
